Various muted tones evoke the grandeur of classical Georgian terraced houses by the harbour. Â Architectural shades of greys, greens and mineral blues provide a calm man made spaces and contrast to the sea beyond the harbour wall.
Artist’s Statement
This painting is a sketch which evolved from the Apartment (video below) and is a “cartoon” for a series which will begin in 2023.
Video shows how a separate work entitled “Apartment” evolved upon which this smaller sketch is based.
